PageIndex report verification

Verification
The supplied reports support a bounded code-grounded account. The two previous printed-heading blockers are repaired; no material blocker remains. I read the complete invocation, supplied members, types, record contract, correction answers, previous verification and structural check. The structural check reports none. I judged the current wording against frozen source, not merely against the authors' correction answers or validation statements. Git HEAD equals the reviewed revision, and the tracked top-level tree agrees with the boundary coverage. No contradiction of the target class or whole-system repository-artifact boundary was found. No target execution, provider request, test run or experiment was performed.
Record and mechanism checks
I reviewed every declaration, source anchor, status, annotation, explicit containment relation and proposed supersession for semantic support. Empty absence inventories are not used as repository-wide negative findings. Source inspection below is implementation evidence under SRC-1; it establishes neither observed operation nor benefit.
The four runtime components distinguish externally hosted inference parameters from returned document material: RT-CMP-index-model, RT-CMP-summary-model, RT-CMP-chat-model and RT-CMP-vision-model. Completion calls and configurable model/backend selection support the scoped no-wired-update findings, unpinned versions and mutable endpoint qualifications. They do not support a provider-wide absence of learning. SRC-1: pageindex/utils.py, pageindex/local_chat.py, pageindex/client.py, cookbook/pageindex-vision-rag.ipynb.
Independent tracing supports the admission and persistence account in RT-RTE-local-submit, MEM-OBJ-pages, MEM-OBJ-tree and MEM-OBJ-doc. Submission separates PyPDF2 page extraction from tree production, checks limited span predicates, strips node text for storage and writes pages/tree/metadata. The code supports per-file atomic replacement, marker-based availability and manifest recovery, not a multi-file transaction. MEM-RTE-store-maintenance correctly distinguishes withdrawal from secure erasure or recall of copied evidence. SRC-1: pageindex/local_api.py, pageindex/local_store.py.
I retraced the disputed branches of RT-RTE-tree-refine and MEM-OBJ-headings-cache. Model proposals pass range, normalized printed-substring, duplicate/own-title and order checks. Cache candidates instead pass span/kind/own-title selection before the shared ownership filter. Missing printed matches alone do not reject cache candidates. Both branches then undergo span assignment and cost selection. The revised runtime endpoints, admission passage and evidence now preserve this distinction, including the lack of a universal occurrence guarantee. The revised epistemic ledger, EPI-OBJ-tree-structure and bounded conclusion preserve it too. Both correction answers are supported, including their dependent passages. No actual unprinted cached heading or operational failure is established. SRC-1: pageindex/tree_optimize.py.
The RT-OBJ-cost-policy and RT-BAP-cost-selection findings match fixed formulae consumed by deterministic decisions. The optimizer changes trees under that account, not the account through formulated criticism. Its separate bounded theory-condition assessments are supported. Summary scheduling, child-to-parent inputs, short-leaf raw reuse, retitling, fallback and all-requested-calls-failed rejection support EPI-OBJ-node-summary and the memory refinement annotation. Generated summaries and EPI-OBJ-doc-description remain candidate characterizations rather than semantically certified claims. SRC-1: pageindex/tree_optimize.py, pageindex/utils.py, pageindex/local_api.py.
MEM-RTE-document-readback, RT-RTE-document-chat and the selected workflow correctly trace what reaches the consumer after selection. Outline formatting omits text; oversized leaves can escape the outline budget. Page delivery admits the first valid page even over budget and explicitly reports later omissions. Local scope is injected through a private channel after model-supplied private keys are removed. SDK handoff, guided tool failures, turn-limit handling and final-output return support the workflow's delivery account, not answer correctness or successful recovery. SRC-1: pageindex/agent_tools.py, pageindex/local_chat.py, pageindex/integrations/openai_agents.py, pageindex/client.py.
RT-OBJ-agent-instructions and RT-BAP-managed-guidance are model-interpreted policy, unlike the cost predicates. RT-RTE-protocol-history correctly distinguishes appendable Responses/Messages tool turns from ordinary Chat Completions output and caller-owned persistence from automatic session storage. Native Messages handling removes unexecuted final tool uses. Prefix caching is not history compaction. RT-RTE-framework-tools preserves read-only registration versus ambient host authority and remote endpoint enforcement. Local chat scope does not silently become universal SDK or cloud authorization. SRC-1: pageindex/local_chat.py, pageindex/client.py, pageindex/agent_tools.py, pageindex/integrations/openai_agents.py, pageindex/integrations/claude_agent_sdk.py.
RT-RTE-alternate-builders, RT-CLM-layout-extraction, RT-RTE-cloud-tools and RT-RTE-vision-notebook retain materially different routes. Flash's direct return is not managed refusal; classic verification excludes exceptions and bounded repair need not remove every error. Markdown literal slicing supports the stated deterministic witness, not fidelity of all optional passes. Optimizer diagnostics do not veto its CLI writer. Cloud catalog/instruction discovery and one session-expiry replay are client mechanisms, not server truth or exactly-once guarantees. Notebook source independently connects model-selected nodes to page images and a separate answer call. SRC-1: pageindex/flash/api.py, pageindex/page_index_classic.py, pageindex/page_index_md.py, run_pageindex.py, pageindex/tree_optimize.py, pageindex/mcp_bridge.py, cookbook/pageindex-vision-rag.ipynb.
Epistemic and reconciliation dispositions
All six epistemic objects, four routes, three claims and ledger functions were assessed against their referents and evidence. EPI-OBJ-page-text describes import without endorsement; EPI-OBJ-answer-text does not invent output propositions. EPI-OBJ-citation-entries and EPI-RTE-citation-resolution correctly separate identifier lookup/display from support checking. EPI-RTE-document-sanitization removes matching source phrases before classic evaluation. EPI-RTE-tree-normalization correctly identifies prefix-summary overwrite and conventional endpoint inference. EPI-RTE-document-withdrawal changes availability, not the truth of earlier answers. SRC-1: pageindex/local_api.py, pageindex/page_index_classic.py, pageindex/utils.py, pageindex/client.py, pageindex/local_store.py.
The ledger separates checking from disposition and retention from lifecycle integration. Unknown generated outputs justify indeterminate relations; arithmetic and literal reuse have narrower supported classifications. The claim comparison preserves doctrine, reported benchmarks and implementation separately. README accuracy/cost figures are attributed reports, not independently established experiments; grounding instructions are delivered requests, not observed compliance. SRC-1: README.md, pageindex/agent_tools.py.
The two amendments in reconciliation identify the same page-list object and marker-first deletion/cache-maintenance route, preserving their findings and evidence strength. Valid tree/metadata containers remain alongside their operative parts. Both explicit Part of: relations are supported: cached headings are an input part of refinement, and classic sanitization is part of alternate construction. Cross-cutting read-back and getter normalization are appropriately not confined to one managed chat route. The reconciliation supplies both positions, evidence and prevented conclusion for the remaining stale memory attribution. That local issue is retained below; it does not revive the repaired admission defect. Other integration issues preserve cache provenance, opaque remote state, evaluator coverage and external-history uncertainty without asserting unsupported absence or complete coverage.
Consequential omission questions and stopping decision
I selected questions from the frozen tracked tree and producer/consumer dependencies: could another heading input defeat the proposed occurrence check; could getters, adapters or protocol histories invalidate scope/context claims; could shipped CLI/notebook callers introduce an omitted consumer; and could evaluators or diagnostic persistence supply an unaccounted truth gate or feedback update? Package searches for persistence, headings, summaries, history and evaluation led to the branches traced above, rather than only the listed quotations. The cache challenge is resolved by the corrections. Direct builders, getter transforms, factory grants and notebook image answering are already distinguished in the records. Selected source reads of SRC-1 tests/test_client.py and tests/test_local_chat.py show fixture/mocked contracts for manifest repair and tool progression, not supplied successful executions or production semantic acceptance.
Further optional omission expansion stopped because each selected consequential challenge has a supported disposition and no identified material challenge remains without one. Deep extraction heuristics, every evaluator body, all fixture/example bytes and remote/dependency internals were not exhaustively audited. The existing reports already withhold exhaustive evaluator, reliability, performance and server-policy conclusions; their source-only uncertainty is not a new defect. The supported bounded account survives those withheld comparisons.

Limits
- Item 1 of the memory integration issues, invoking MEM-OBJ-headings-cache, still attributes a broad printed-heading rejection claim to RT-RTE-tree-refine. The current runtime explicitly distinguishes cache candidates, and the reconciliation conflict identifies the stale attribution. SRC-1
pageindex/tree_optimize.pysupports the compatible branch-specific mechanisms in both reports. Readers should withhold the inference that an open runtime mechanism correction remains; the cache counterpath, actual admission controls and remaining runtime/memory conclusions remain supported. This is a local integration-description defect, not an unsupported emitted enforcement guarantee or comparison value.
