Reconciliation

Boundary and assessment basis

The reports share the frozen boundary and Source register. This reconciliation assesses the supplied versions, not the disagreements recorded by the previous reconciliation. No correction-answer files or declined objections were supplied. No source reads were needed: the cited analyst records supply the mechanism passages. Implementation, observed operation and causal benefit remain separate throughout; no connection below promotes one evidence layer into another.

Duplicate supersessions

Amendment: EPI-OBJ-page-text is superseded by MEM-OBJ-pages. Both identify local pages.json entries with page_index and markdown, produced by PyPDF2 extraction and later supplied as document evidence. Both retain the same page-list construction passage from SRC-1, pageindex/local_api.py. This is one operative object, not merely similarly named outputs. The amendment connects the epistemic import, retention and selection findings to the memory object's storage and consumer account. It preserves the epistemic source-warrant limit and does not equate extraction with endorsement.

Amendment: EPI-RTE-document-withdrawal is superseded by MEM-RTE-store-maintenance. Each includes explicit deletion, marker-first withdrawal, best-effort directory cleanup, manifest removal and subsequent metadata-cache recovery. Their marker-unlink and cleanup passages identify the same implementation in SRC-1, pageindex/local_store.py, with management dispatch in pageindex/agent_tools.py. The epistemic availability/recovery ledger and memory maintenance findings therefore concern the same route. Both retain implementation conclusion status wired and operation conclusion status uninspected. Neither makes withdrawal a semantic retraction, secure erasure or recall of caller-held transcripts.

Containers and distinct referents

MEM-OBJ-tree is a valid managed-store tree container. EPI-OBJ-tree-structure isolates hierarchy/location content and also includes trees outside the managed store; EPI-OBJ-node-summary isolates summaries, prefix summaries and retitling across builders. Their summary passages in SRC-1, pageindex/utils.py, connect raw short-leaf reuse and child-to-parent derivation without identifying either epistemic object with the entire retained tree. No supersession is warranted: separating these parts does not invalidate the memory container's findings, and the epistemic records have broader builder scope.

MEM-OBJ-doc contains metadata and the manifest cache. EPI-OBJ-doc-description isolates its generated discovery sentence. Their shared description-generation passage in SRC-1, pageindex/local_api.py, establishes overlap, not whole-object identity. Metadata markers/cache validity control software availability, while the description advises model selection. The container remains valid alongside the description; no split supersession is needed.

MEM-OBJ-headings-cache explicitly names a retained input part of RT-RTE-tree-refine. It is not identical to the refinement route or its output tree. RT-OBJ-cost-policy identifies the fixed formulae, and RT-BAP-cost-selection identifies their deterministic decision force. These are distinct from candidate content and from the route applying them; no supersession joins them.

MEM-RTE-document-readback spans reload, response selection and delivery through both RT-RTE-document-chat and RT-RTE-framework-tools. It is neither the whole managed answering loop nor a tool/configuration factory. The workflow annotation supplies selected local handoff, recovery and completion fields on the managed-chat record, with no new route declaration. No duplicate supersession is warranted among these records.

EPI-RTE-document-sanitization is an explicitly declared input-transformation part of RT-RTE-alternate-builders, not a replacement builder. EPI-RTE-tree-normalization spans getter consumers beyond chat. Its prefix-summary overwrite deduction adds a consumer-boundary qualification rather than contradicting a promise to preserve both aliases: no such promise occurs in the supplied runtime. EPI-RTE-citation-resolution is an explicit post-answer caller utility, not an acceptance stage of managed answering. These routes remain distinct without supersession.

EPI-OBJ-answer-text and EPI-OBJ-citation-entries identify outputs, not the producing chat routes or policy inputs. EPI-CLM-cited-grounding identifies a demand expressed in RT-OBJ-agent-instructions, not another declaration of that instruction object. EPI-CLM-tree-retrieval, EPI-CLM-benchmark-results and RT-CLM-layout-extraction respectively concern retrieval design, reported performance and extraction's separation from model passes. They do not share claim identity. No further supersessions are asserted.

Changed disagreement and remaining attribution conflict

The previous mechanism disagreement is not present in the supplied findings. RT-RTE-tree-refine now separates model proposals, cache candidates and shared ownership/cost filtering. MEM-OBJ-headings-cache gives the same cache counterpath. The epistemic ledger now has separate model-heading, cache-candidate and shared-ownership rows, and EPI-OBJ-tree-structure carries the branch distinction. The records cite SRC-1, pageindex/tree_optimize.py: model proposals face the normalized printed-substring test; cache candidates do not; missing printed matches alone do not trigger the shared ownership veto. No supplied mechanism finding now licenses universal printed occurrence. None establishes an actual unprinted cache entry or exercised failure.

Unresolved conflict: MEM-OBJ-headings-cache, as invoked by item 1 of the memory integration issues, is still presented as a qualification to a broad rejection-of-unprinted-headings claim in RT-RTE-tree-refine. The supplied runtime record instead explicitly excludes cache candidates from the model branch's occurrence check and states that accepted headings lack a universal source-occurrence guarantee. The records' cache-construction, substring-test and ownership passages in SRC-1, pageindex/tree_optimize.py, describe compatible mechanisms. The remaining disagreement is the memory issue's attribution to runtime, not whether the cache bypass exists. It prevents treating that issue as an accurate description of a still-open runtime mechanism correction. Reconciliation does not rewrite the memory issue or adjudicate its disposition.

Independent convergence and integration dispositions

RT-RTE-document-chat, MEM-RTE-document-readback and the workflow retrieval account converge on selective evidence delivery: outlines omit full text; pages are requested and response-budgeted. Runtime and workflow retain the first-valid-page budget exception; memory additionally retains the oversized outline-leaf exception. These are compatible limits, not competing hard-window guarantees. The epistemic selection ledger grants no new truth warrant merely because content is selected.

RT-BAP-managed-guidance and RT-BAP-cost-selection carry different authority: model-interpreted instructions versus deterministic admission predicates. The workflow delivery account and EPI-OBJ-answer-text agree that a returned answer is not independently accepted for correctness. The memory tree/description findings supply navigation authority rather than an answer oracle. These connections leave each report's statuses and epistemic assessments unchanged.

The remaining memory integration issues have these dispositions:

  • Item 2 compares memory declarations with its supplied runtime and proposes no duplicates there. The two amendments above arise from comparison with epistemic declarations; they do not invalidate that runtime-only comparison.
  • Item 3 leaves cache origin unresolved beside known downstream transformation. It prevents author, approval and trace-origin classification, not an account of loading/filtering. The runtime and epistemic records preserve this uncertainty rather than contradict it.
  • Item 4 agrees with RT-RTE-cloud-tools and the epistemic opaque-server limit. Remote storage form, provenance, acceptance, expiry and retrieval policy remain unknown; client wiring does not settle them.
  • Item 5 agrees with the boundary coverage table and epistemic coverage. Additional source reads extend initial inspection without establishing an exhaustive evaluator inventory or independently verified benchmarks. No supplied report claims complete evaluator absence.
  • Item 6 connects RT-RTE-protocol-history with the maintenance route: caller-owned histories can retain previously delivered strings after managed-store withdrawal. The selected workflow's Chat Completions lane lacks the appendable tool transcript exposed by Responses/Messages. These are protocol differences and external-retention limits, not a conflict.

Finally, RT-RTE-vision-notebook and its memory annotation retain a separate outline-selector/image-answer pipeline, not another execution of managed tool chat. The epistemic selection row preserves that distinction. The bounded theory account in RT-RTE-tree-refine concerns fixed cost formulae applied to document-product revision; memory and epistemic findings do not promote persistence or calculated proxy reduction into learning, reflection or exercised self-improvement. Missing run and causal evidence remains a shared limitation, not a disagreement or a system-wide negative.
