Continuity report verification

Verification

The reports support a bounded implementation account, with the local limits below. No material blocker was found. All supplied members, record declarations, annotations, source anchors, evidence statuses, containment relations and reconciliation amendments were examined. The correction-answer files are empty and the structural report-check says none; neither supplies an outstanding objection. This judgment rests on independent source inspection, not the analysts' validation statements.

Runtime and state paths

The frozen checkout HEAD equals the reviewed boundary and its tracked status is clean. Its top-level tracked tree agrees with the boundary coverage. The enclosing-runtime classification is supported by the shipped chat driver, rather than inferred from the memory API. Source-defined functional coverage is not an installed-build or exhaustive security audit.

For RT-RTE-desktop-chat, RT-OBJ-current-messages and both runtime behavioral-authority paths, I traced prompt construction, history projection, provider requests, sequential dispatch, the ten-round counter and persistence in SRC-1, providers/chat-provider.tsx, lib/ai/openai.ts and lib/ai/anthropic.ts. The final tool-producing round can perform effects without saving a final answer. Load failures can omit retained context. The account correctly distinguishes natural-language influence from enforcing code. Both remote-model component records are supported: configuration names models, not immutable weights, and the inspected adapters and Threads evaluator perform inference without exposing provider parameter state. Their operation/fixity uncertainty is appropriately scoped.

The desktop memory, MCP and synthesis mechanisms in RT-RTE-memory-admission remain different admission owners. Independent reads of SRC-1, lib/db/memories.ts, server/db/memories.ts, server/tools/memory-tools.ts, server/tools/narrative-tools.ts and lib/ai/narrative-synthesis.ts support the memory content, metadata, version, link, learning and narrative object findings. Desktop history records prior content; server history records replacement content. Desktop updates preserve an existing source label. MCP callers can choose source labels and supply observations or narratives without a truth check. These facts support MEM-CLM-source-trust, not authenticated human authorship.

MEM-RTE-passive-context, desktop recall, profile delivery and narrative synthesis/read-back are supported by their actual selectors and consumers. The passive budget is nominal, not a total-context cap. Synthesis reads all active memories, scoped pending observations and prior briefing/learnings; it does not read the original source messages. Parse failure still supplies fallback content, and persistence precedes separate absorption writes. The scheduler requires active memories and its stated learning/staleness conditions. The reports correctly withhold universal erasure, narrative rollback history, calibrated confidence and guaranteed contradiction preservation. SRC-1, lib/ai/memory-tools.ts, lib/ai/narrative-synthesis.ts, providers/memories-provider.tsx, providers/chat-provider.tsx and components/settings/panels/GeneralPanel.tsx.

The bounded absence in MEM-ABS-learning-extractor survives independent searches for learning_record, recordLearning and INSERT INTO learnings across the declared desktop/server roots, with plugin and SDK paths checked as alternatives. The located producer is MCP admission, not an automatic desktop conversation extractor. Dynamically available MCP calls or arbitrary plugin SQL do not prove such an extractor exists, and the record does not exclude those external/caller possibilities.

Research and epistemic checks

I traced the complete SRC-1, lib/ai/research-engine.ts, its defaults/callback contract in types/research.ts, and desktop launch/completion handling. RT-RTE-deep-research, its memory annotation, EPI-OBJ-research-findings and the workflow account agree on isolated calls, abbreviated evidence and automatic output admission. The fifteen-read value is a continuation threshold, not a strict reservation. Completion does not await the async desktop callback; canvas and summary writes are separate, and the summary can claim canvas delivery after canvas failure. These are supported qualifications, not contradictions of implemented callback wiring.

Every epistemic ledger function was compared with its declaring record and consumer. Normalization and vault formatting support non-ampliative reshaping only within their stated scope. Model-generated narrative, findings and replies remain indeterminate without an input/output instance; imported Perplexity answers and excerpt fallback are separately classified in EPI-RTE-provider-acquisition and EPI-RTE-excerpt-fallback. Research gap evaluation licenses continuation, not factual acceptance. Narrative parsing licenses syntax, not truth or semantic preservation. Retention, operational consumption and relationship display do not silently become post-acceptance lifecycle integration. The three epistemic doctrine claims retain their requested behavior and lack of observed/causal support. The bounded conclusion does not make a system-complete negative about knowledge production, learning or opaque model processing.

Plugin and organization alternatives

RT-RTE-plugin-admission, RT-OBJ-plugin-session and RT-CLM-plugin-controls are supported by SRC-1, lib/plugins/manager.ts, lib/ai/plugin-tools.ts, plugin-host/src/index.ts, plugin-host/src/server.ts, plugin-host/src/handlers/db.ts and src-tauri/capabilities/default.json. Registration copies caller capabilities; the token is shared with spawned code. Host tool/prompt maps do not populate the frontend arrays. The source grants permit broad native operations, so the reports correctly avoid least-privilege or deployed-isolation guarantees.

Independent inspection of the Threads entry, evaluator, scheduler, SQLite operations and complete review server supports RT-RTE-threads-engagement, MEM-OBJ-threads-results and every epistemic Threads route. The scheduled threshold and advisory ad-hoc scoring are different consumers. Parseable scores are not calibrated labels. Draft regeneration deletes previous drafts before generation, and the publication endpoint checks availability, not authenticated human agency or prior approval/rejection status. A source search finds postReply only at that endpoint and its API wrapper within the shipped plugin source. No rejection-to-training or automatic publication conclusion is warranted. SRC-1, plugins/continuity-threads-engagement/src/index.ts, plugins/continuity-threads-engagement/src/ai-evaluator.ts, plugins/continuity-threads-engagement/src/cron.ts, plugins/continuity-threads-engagement/src/db.ts and plugins/continuity-threads-engagement/src/ui-server.ts.

For RT-RTE-org-ingestion, MEM-OBJ-org-memories and MEM-CLM-sync-withdrawal, both ends and the SDK/host boundary were inspected. The SDK omits a database selector; the host defaults to app storage. Local pull lacks the server timestamp guard. Deletion events are serialized without withdrawal state. Server pull caps rows without returning its ordering cursor, while the client advances its local-clock cursor after caught pull errors. These support the reports' refusal to infer a joined, convergent memory loop. Event production remains unresolved rather than a system-wide absence. SRC-1, plugins/continuity-org-memory-sync/src/index.ts, plugins/continuity-org-memory-sync/src/sync-engine.ts, plugin-sdk/src/db.ts, plugin-host/src/handlers/db.ts and org-server/src/routes/memories-push.ts / org-server/src/routes/memories-pull.ts.

Relations, omissions and stopping decision

All Part of: relations were checked semantically. Memory-admission objects and function-specific routes fit the runtime container; passive/profile routes fit desktop chat; research and Threads parts fit their respective loops. A route parent for an object denotes the container's material input/output, not identity between kinds. The four object supersessions in reconciliation preserve common storage/content identities and their differing lens findings. Source-label and relation-edge parts do not replace the broader metadata/project containers. Transient working messages/findings do not become their persisted projections. No unsupported status upgrade or unresolved contradictory analyst finding was identified. All six memory integration issues receive dispositions; workflow refinements do not invalidate the runtime container.

Omission questions were selected from the tracked tree and producer/consumer dependencies: whether another shipped writer defeats the desktop-extractor absence; whether alternate plugin delivery or SDK routing closes the purported memory loop; whether scheduled/ad-hoc Threads paths bypass the described authority distinctions; and whether persisted research/workspace content has later model consumption beyond summary history. The first three searches support the bounded findings above. The last reveals a positive canvas read-back witness within the already included workspace scope: SRC-1, lib/ai/canvas-tools.ts reads stored canvas blocks and returns their formatted content. The desktop dispatch returns that result into the foreground loop. It leaves the coarse workspace inventory incomplete, not the research delivery account false.

// Format content for AI readability const formatted = formatCanvasForAI(content);

return { toolCallId, result: formatted, success: true, }; --- lib/ai/canvas-tools.ts

This witness supplements MEM-OBJ-workspace-state and RT-RTE-desktop-chat; it is not evidence that canvas enters personal narrative synthesis. Bounded journal/provider and briefing reads also support human editing, reload and deterministic projections. Developer-memory startup/update instructions support MEM-RTE-developer-memory as doctrine only, not in-app execution. Further optional omission expansion stopped because the selected consequential challenges have dispositions, remaining inventories are expressly partial, and no identified challenge requires widening or withdrawing a central conclusion. Additional repository files alone do not justify exhaustive inspection.

Limits

  • RT-RTE-plugin-admission and MEM-RTE-mcp-memory: committed host/SDK/server distributions are selected by shipped launch paths, but source-to-bundle equivalence remains incomplete. The source mechanisms stand; withhold equivalence to a specific packaged installation, including its tool discovery, admission and memory delivery behavior.
  • MEM-OBJ-workspace-state and RT-RTE-deep-research: workspace parts remain coarsely grouped and their route inventory is incomplete. The inspected read_canvas consumer can return stored report/block content to a later foreground invocation, beyond summary history. Retention and the selected research workflow remain supported; withhold exhaustive workspace read-back, context-budget and trace-fed-update comparisons, including the unaudited journal auto-link caller chain.
  • MEM-RTE-vault-context and EPI-RTE-vault-projection: scan formatting, requested delivery and index persistence are supported, but scanner/file-operation containment, scan-to-file fidelity and disconnect cleanup are not fully audited. Withhold secure-path, complete-index and complete-withdrawal guarantees; these gaps do not negate the wired index-to-prompt path or bounded lossy projection finding.
  • MEM-OBJ-memory-links, MEM-OBJ-org-memories and RT-RTE-org-ingestion: endpoint checks and supplied synchronization defects are supported, but full relational integrity and organization event/search/auth integration are not established. Withhold complete relational-policy and end-to-end organization-memory route comparisons; neither successful synchronization nor a system-wide absence of event delivery follows.
