Epistack Competition
I am preparing a submission for the Future of Life Foundation Epistack Competition. The final submission deadline is July 19, 2026.
My angle is to use Commonplace as a worked example of an epistemic stack: an agent-operated knowledge base that turns a messy case study into claims, sources, explicit links, reviewable notes, and visible uncertainty.
The goal is not only to submit something competitive. The deeper goal is to test whether Commonplace is useful on exactly the kind of epistemic workload it was designed for.
Current needs:
- A collaborator with philosophy, epistemology, cognitive science, or philosophy-of-science background.
- A compact case study that can show the workflow clearly.
- Critical feedback on what the system makes easier, what it obscures, and what remains human judgment.
- Short paid research trials for this competition collaboration.
