Reconciliation
Boundary and basis
The members share the whole-system boundary and its Source register. Their connected account includes inference, task-local findings, prompt editing, offline evaluation and policy training. Training and ordinary inference are alternatives to the representative FSM workflow, not additional stages of it. This reconciliation uses the supplied members only; no target source was read. Implementation findings remain distinct from observed activation, successful recovery, beneficial learning and causal effects.
Duplicate identities and containment
Amendment: EPI-OBJ-document-index is superseded by MEM-OBJ-document-index. Both identify the attached document and its token/chunk index, including natural-language source text, symbolic chunk access and document-filtered Elasticsearch storage. Both retain the literal chunk-slice passage from SRC-1, infer/src/contextpilot.py. The epistemic record adds adapter lineage and unknown source warrant; the memory record adds lifecycle and whole-document alternatives. These concern the same source/index referent. The affected findings are source acquisition, passage selection and document lifecycle; supersession connects identity without replacing either member's findings.
Amendment: EPI-OBJ-simple-notes is superseded by MEM-OBJ-simple-notes. Both identify simple_notes, the separate task-local dictionary of summary/full-content entries, and retain the same assignment passage from SRC-1, infer/src/contextpilot.py. The training content alias and summary-update difference are additional findings on this referent, not another store. Summary injection, keyed reads and revision therefore concern one object; the implementation-specific update difference remains intact.
Amendment: EPI-RTE-memory-merge is superseded by MEM-RTE-memory-merge. Both identify inference's optional mergeNotes/merge_notes operation on structured notes: select existing keys, remove originals and edges, concatenate content/default summaries, construct a reduced-schema entry, and make it available to later rendering or keyed reads. Both retain the same new-entry constructor from SRC-1, infer/src/contextpilot.py; the epistemic record explicitly identifies the peer operation as the same one. The affected findings are optional store curation, metadata loss and later availability. Both records now give implementation conclusion afforded and operation conclusion uninspected; no status is selected by this supersession.
No whole-record supersession connects EPI-OBJ-memory-content to MEM-OBJ-notes alone. The epistemic record describes structured entries with content, provenance arrays and graph-selection metadata. Memory separates interpreted text in that notes record, symbolic access/signature/edge state in MEM-OBJ-mem-edges, and dense representations in MEM-OBJ-mem-embeddings. The combined epistemic account already distinguishes textual interpretation from fixed selection rules and disclaims truth validation. Separating those parts does not make its container finding wrong. The valid container therefore remains alongside the memory parts, without a split supersession or an invented part ID.
EPI-OBJ-context-replacements is a declared part of RT-OBJ-full-history, not the whole history object. Memory's annotation supplies replacement-map lineage, render precedence, branch copying and export details on that runtime object rather than declaring a duplicate. Likewise EPI-RTE-context-replacement is the transformation part of RT-RTE-context-control, whose wider referent includes selection, automatic eviction, rendering and recovery. Both containers remain valid; containment alone warrants no supersession.
EPI-RTE-findings-retention spans store admission, mutation and later availability. MEM-RTE-findings-write and MEM-RTE-findings-delivery distinguish those functions. Neither memory route replaces the entire epistemic route, and separating them does not invalidate its bounded finding that structurally admitted candidates become available without independent fact acceptance. No split supersession is required. All three span subroutes of RT-RTE-fsm-inference, RT-RTE-ordinary-inference and RT-RTE-training-rollout; none duplicates a complete invocation.
EPI-RTE-document-selection similarly spans passage-acquisition and relevance-selection functions across inference invocations, not a duplicate invocation. EPI-RTE-answer-reward is the declared terminal-evaluation part of RT-RTE-branch-credit, not that route's branch scheduling, ancestry disposition and credit assignment as a whole. EPI-RTE-offline-evaluation instead concerns the separately shipped post-output scoring CLI. Different timing, consumers and force rule out identity with either training reward or inference execution.
The remaining objects and components are not whole-record duplicates. EPI-OBJ-answer-content is the selected prediction/answer target, not the history container or an evaluation result. EPI-OBJ-evaluation-results is judgment/reward output, not its producing RT-CMP-judge-answer or consuming RT-CMP-actor-module. MEM-CMP-embedding-provider and MEM-CMP-reranker-endpoint produce retrieval representations or rankings, unlike the runtime policy, answer judge and compressor. MEM-OBJ-chunk-embeddings and memory-signature vectors have different source texts, update lifetimes and selectors; neither is policy weights or the document/index container.
The claims retain distinct identities. RT-CLM-fsm-gating concerns state-local protocol constraints; EPI-CLM-grounded-answer records requested evidence sufficiency; EPI-CLM-branch-credit records the public training-mechanism claim; EPI-CLM-performance-gains records attributed outcomes. A claim is not its implementing route. Workflow declares no records, so its annotations add no duplicate identities.
Disagreement dispositions
No current cross-report disagreement is established by the supplied members. The two disagreements retained in the previous reconciliation no longer describe the pinned findings:
- Prediction selection: RT-RTE-fsm-inference, RT-RTE-ordinary-inference, EPI-OBJ-answer-content and the workflow delivery account now distinguish the same two extraction paths. The runner obtains its prediction from
logger.save_final_result, which scans reverse tool history for a truthycontent.final_answerwithout checking the tool name, otherwise returningNo final answer found.. The separate_extract_final_answerhelper can fall back to undeleted assistant prose, but supplies the trajectory snapshot, not the benchmark prediction. Runtime and epistemic retain the logger call and placeholder evidence from SRC-1,infer/src/hf_test_runner.pyandinfer/src/contextpilot.py. Workflow's warning against conflating those paths no longer opposes their current findings. Epistemic's offline-evaluation target also explicitly follows the logger-selected prediction. Thus no dependent finding still requires the former prose-fallback account at the runner handoff. - Optional merge status: MEM-RTE-memory-merge and EPI-RTE-memory-merge now both label implementation
affordedand operationuninspected. Epistemic retains architectural statusimplementedin its ledger, but explicitly says this describes inspected mutation/read/render implementation, not a shipped caller connection. That separate vocabulary does not conflict with an afforded capability lacking default grants or established invocation wiring. Both records retain the same constructor evidence and caller limit. Identity supersession does not promote either finding to deployed or observed use.
No correction-answer or declined-objection file is supplied. These dispositions follow the current reports' findings rather than an inferred analyst answer or an adjudication of the earlier reports.
Independent convergence and integration issues
The workflow account, RT-CLM-fsm-gating, MEM-RTE-findings-delivery and EPI-CLM-grounded-answer connect protocol review with actual store delivery without equating either with fact acceptance. Workflow independently traces chunk-read readiness, cleanup order, one error-free read per applicable store type, deterministic latest-key recovery and best-effort exits. Memory identifies what summary lists, full keyed entries and neighbor projections actually deliver. Epistemic distinguishes these permissions from an evidence-consuming answer-truth decision. Runtime's narrower protocol claim does not contradict the shipped evidence-sufficiency instruction.
The memory integration issues report that generation and reconstruction passages support the runtime's pre-action branch checkpoint account. Memory's annotation on RT-RTE-branch-credit connects copied histories, stores and edit maps to that checkpoint. No opposed timing finding remains. The historical challenge is not itself a current conflict. Both reports retain that cloned continuations and ancestry-mean rewards do not isolate a single edit's causal contribution; EPI-CLM-branch-credit connects the public mechanism claim without upgrading it to causal evidence.
Training simple-note summary erasure, free-prose graph-feature limits and merge metadata loss refine the runtime junctions rather than contradict them. MEM-OBJ-simple-notes, MEM-OBJ-mem-edges and MEM-RTE-memory-merge prevent assuming uniform store parity, universal graph coverage or lossless curation; runtime makes none of those guarantees. Epistemic's incomplete independent inspection of training graph internals does not oppose memory's additional direct inspection.
RT-RTE-context-control, its memory annotations and EPI-RTE-context-replacement connect retained originals to a potentially lossy future prompt view. Epistemic's substring countercase and memory's random-word compression-fallback passage concern semantic preservation, not whether replacement bytes reach later prompts. Default lack of a restore grant remains separate from host reachability and branch reconstruction. These findings do not establish an isolated helper-agent context or an unconditional hard token cap.
RT-RTE-policy-update, RT-BAP-rollout-weights, memory's annotations and EPI-RTE-answer-reward connect scored traces to advantages, numerical updates, rollout synchronization and configured checkpoint recovery. They retain separate authorities for reference grading, terminal-lineage row admission, finite-gradient update admission and parameter consumption. Epistemic bounds normalized-equality fallback to exceptions inside the judge retry block; runtime describes an inspected exception fallback without promising universal failure recovery. This is a qualification, not an opposed finding. Neither account treats periodic validation as mandatory promote-only-if-better admission.
Caller initialization provenance, arbitrary cache/reindex coherence, exact schema parity, provider versions/hidden retention and unavailable dataset or execution evidence remain local limits in the memory integration issues, epistemic boundary and source boundary. They prevent stronger provenance, parity, durability, performance and causal conclusions. Faithful uncertainty does not create a cross-report conflict, and the connected update pathway does not supply the missing later update-dependent execution or beneficial-learning evidence.
