Operational Ontology Framework retry-1 independent audit

Disposition

Integrate with recorded limits. No consequential semantic or operational defect was established within this bounded inspection. The publication is useful as an account of a conceptual state/governance reference, not an implemented agent or demonstrated memory loop. That qualification is already explicit in the overview description, boundary and synthesis; this audit does not supply a missing public qualification.

This recommendation applies only to the exact publication below. It neither clears predecessor incidents nor authorizes integration, repair or execution.

Semantic findings and historical comparison

  1. The current source is suitable for the declared doc-grounded boundary. The frozen README expressly describes operating AI with explicit state, defines Pin/Spec/Handoff/Facts, and prescribes session continuity. docs/conceptual-example.md connects data and rules to an AI draft, human review, authorized recording and a next-review handoff. This supplies a coherent memory/knowledge/context-engineering design even without an executable agent. The frozen boundary instruction permits that target class and the type permits a complete artifact, partial loop boundary. Complete disposition is not presented as complete operational evidence. There is no basis here to require either historical out-of-scope disposition or substitution of the separately linked kit.

  2. Historical omissions are explained by different evidence, not a demonstrated regression. The comparison lead is kb/agent-memory-systems/reviews/operational-ontology-framework.md, reviewed at 0c70e70b5fc634d9dda8bdb880bf75557f3ae9e9. It describes templates, schema examples, five artifact families including Skills, and pull read-back. The present tracked tree has 14 files, no templates or schemas, and four state roles. Its README says procedures complement but are not state. The new account correctly withholds storage and read-back direction rather than inheriting historical repo/files or pull classifications. The older revision was not reacquired or exhaustively compared. A scoped search found no same-source report in this workshop's audits or current kb/agentic-systems/; historical review content was used only as an audit lead and was not sent to analysts.

  3. The operational account preserves the important responsibility split. Direct reads of the frozen example and governance principles support RT-RTE-weekly-review, MEM-OBJ-authorized-source and the synthesis's drafting/review/recording sequence. Draft-only AI does not imply a write-free workflow. Human content approval does not identify the physical writer or prove persistence. The publication does not generalize this approval to every state edit, identify the organizational source as Facts or Spec, or claim a demonstrated later reload. These are necessary limits and are already public.

  4. Executable CI is correctly separated from operational enforcement. Direct inspection of .github/workflows/public-surface.yml supports a tracked-path/mode check, credential markers, Markdown-only implementation regex and three HTTP checks. It does not establish a successful run, immutable checker, mandatory merge gating, operational-state truth or safety. RT-RTE-public-surface, the report verification and synthesis retain those distinctions. No target or CI execution was needed or performed for this audit.

Read the public overview, boundary, synthesis and all three verifications, plus the runtime and memory accounts. Selected source reads were the README, conceptual example, governance principles and full publication workflow; the complete tracked tree and clean source status were checked. The verifications' Limits: none means no additional verification qualification, not absence of evidence gaps: the synthesis itself carries five substantive limitation rows. No contrary consequential source fact was established.

Operational evidence

The intake inspection records 33 completed attempts, no open/failed attempts, refusals or worker problems, and publication-job completion. Six stale historical check acceptances are listed, with later checks and final coverage present; they do not by themselves establish a current defect. This is engine evidence, not proof of worker compliance.

Actual trace inspected: /media/zby/2b5e98b6-baf0-4e97-90d2-03321ea23372/outputs/batch-22/operational-ontology-framework-retry-1.output, SHA-256 bf6d92f15b5638c1fb2f706a090a44e7dfc2346b634439e5ee2e4de1e9f4e381. Inspected coordinator tool-call inventory and nested completed worker messages, not merely proposed calls. All 11 analytical workers have the assigned worktree cwd. Inventory totals are 255 reads, 28 writes and 24 Bash calls, each with a matching result in its worker. Writes point inside the respective handout; the profile builder script is inside its supplied scratch area. No prohibited prior-analysis path read, off-worktree write, cleanup, target execution or standalone acquisition was found in that inventory. This is a bounded call inventory and selected result inspection, not an exhaustive proof of every prompt-reading obligation.

Decisive call/result locators (IDs are paired within the same worker):

  • Log line 764, boundary worker: call_AiQAb822z9FsdufGAWVBX1pf|fc_00bfa53a311e3f8e016ad5076c62cc87d2983f0331338a983a returns the frozen HEAD and tracked tree. call_mqUD6xHBRJY1GGbhjBoUj6u5|fc_00bfa53a311e3f8e016ad50771b09087d2a80c2767d01c2f56 returns the actual frozen README, including its public boundary and external-kit link. Subsequent source reads cover every tracked file before boundary production.
  • Log line 2833, report verifier: call_S90g7DG9azlu8vX1C2o3b40t|fc_0a7bbc3d747545a2016ad50af6c51c87d2a99f0936c12b462e reads the CI source; call_0eIP3kDt2vxBGRJRwldqIe3I|fc_0a7bbc3d747545a2016ad50b067d8887d2847c5cfc86b079ef returns clean source status. call_xvhwLrMoxF9zHN3eaP3767uw|fc_0a7bbc3d747545a2016ad50b3f11f087d2857fe7b822c5b431 returns the content-check pass, explicitly not acceptance or claim support.

Procedural deviations exist: the boundary's initial prompt and several supplied inputs were read using relative paths despite the absolute-path worker rule. Memory/epistemic source reads and memory output writes also use relative paths. Some shell calls use semicolon-separated environment reporting before dependent Git checks. The recorded cwd, source identity/results and successful output destinations establish the intended paths for the inspected cases; no resulting contamination, hidden failure or collateral mutation was found. These deviations are not certified compliance and are not repaired by publication success. They do not establish a missing qualification about the external system.

Deterministic checks and preservation

Validation uses only W/.venv/bin/commonplace-validate, executed from W, without output files or receipts.

  • Publication check: commonplace-validate P exited 0: VALIDATION SUCCESS, one directory artifact analysed, 0 failures and 0 warnings. This checks the set, not semantic truth or worker conduct.
  • Report check: validation of the absolute origin report path exited 0: VALIDATION SUCCESS, one text file analysed, 0 failures and 0 warnings.
  • Final byte verification after inspection: all 13 publication members match the complete effect map; all 157 recorded run-state entries match. Preparation and plan hashes match. The member-map digest and publication effect hash above were reconfirmed; source HEAD still matches the pin and source status is clean.

Only this report is written. No ledger update, integration, commit, repair, acquisition, analysis advancement, feedback, delegation or cleanup is performed. No blocker was established for this exact-byte publication within the inspected scope. External kits, private implementations, predecessor operational incidents, exhaustive trace reasoning and actual system outcomes remain outside this audit's conclusions.
