Limitations (our opinion)

This is a persuasive founder narrative, not an audited case study. The counts of five stack configurations, roughly 300 skills, and 40 active agents are useful scale markers but come without architecture diagrams, code, time series, task-quality evaluations, cost data, or a denominator for failed and retired skills. “Quality tracked context almost exactly” is asserted rather than measured, and the report does not compare the shared-brain design with simpler alternatives such as disciplined source ownership, typed links, or narrower team repositories.

The security episode is directionally important but under-specified. The source explicitly says no breach is claimed; it does not state how secrets were exposed, whether public skills executed untrusted instructions, what the audit found, or which controls prevented recurrence. Treat it as evidence that the trust boundary became visible, not evidence that the proposed five-part operating layer solves supply-chain security.

“Git versions text, not meaning” overstates the boundary if read literally. Typed dependency edges, schemas, tests, CODEOWNERS-like rules, CI, and review gates can encode useful semantic commitments around Git even though Git itself does not infer them. The simpler account is that the system lacked declared lineage and derived governance machinery, not that meaning requires a wholly new repository category. The source acknowledges that the missing layer may be several tools, but its “GitHub for context” shorthand can still make an integration problem sound like one product vacancy.

The learning loop and local-to-shared promotion path are proposed more than demonstrated. No acceptance rates, false-positive rates, rollback cases, or examples of a trace-derived skill surviving reuse are reported.
