Limitations (our opinion)

This is an explainer, not the theorem source. Any formal use of No Free Lunch should cite Wolpert and Macready or Ho and Pepyne directly. The essay is valuable because it compresses the theorem into a KB-relevant intuition, not because it adds new proof or data.

The pathfinding example is deliberately toy-sized. It makes the counting-matrix intuition accessible, but it does not cover the theorem's formal conditions or the controversies around what "all possible problems" means for real ML practice.
