Split out a treatment

Type: kb/types/instruction.md

Leave the artifact with the shortest correct passage, and retain the full argument in a separate file that no pass over the artifact will read.

Effort: simple. Formatting and placement once the parent supplies the passage and the discussion text.

1. Write the minimal passage into the artifact: the claim, its one-sentence mechanism, and any term the passage introduces, glossed in place.
2. Write the full treatment as its own file in the same collection, with the collection's frontmatter, a banner naming the passages it stands behind, and a link to the artifact. It may carry tables, the discussion's corrections of earlier wording, and open items.
3. Do not link from the artifact to the treatment. The treatment links in; the artifact does not link out. This is what keeps it out of the context of any pass that follows the artifact's links.
4. Add the treatment to the collection's index with one line saying it is a supplement to the artifact.

Report: the passage as written, the treatment's path, and what the treatment holds that the passage does not.

Preserve: the artifact's link grammar and the collection rule against footer link tables; weave the treatment's links into prose.
