Sparks report verification

Verification

The reports support a bounded source-grounded account. No publication blocker was established. The supported result is implemented deterministic persistence and selection plus a shipped external-agent protocol, not demonstrated semantic completion, accepted knowledge, successful recovery or improvement.

I read all pinned members, types, correction-answer inputs and the structural check. The answer files are empty; the structural check reports none. I independently read the source supporting the consequential findings rather than treating the analysts' validation statements as verification. Checkout HEAD equals the boundary's frozen revision. All source inspection below is SRC-1 at that revision; no target program, test, example, service or model was executed.

Records, evidence and routes

I checked every declared record's referent, source anchors, evidence interpretation and status, including the records without explicit status fields where their kinds do not require them. There are no declared evidenced-absence records. I checked all annotations against their declaring records. The consequential checks and dispositions are:

  • External actor and instruction authority. RT-CMP-agent, RT-OBJ-contract, RT-RTE-contract-install, RT-BAP-agent-contract and RT-CLM-work-split agree with SRC-1, internal/contract/contract.go, internal/core/agent.go, cmd/sparks/init.go, internal/core/init.go and internal/contract/contract.md. Filename selection and overwrite preservation are executable behavior. Semantic instructions are prose whose loading and compliance depend on the external harness. The reports do not infer model fixity, permissions or obedience from a harness filename.
  • Ingest, state and recovery. RT-OBJ-ingests and RT-RTE-ingest-cycle, including their memory and workflow annotations, match SRC-1, internal/core/ingest.go, internal/core/ingest_finalize.go, cmd/sparks/ingest.go, internal/manifest/ingests.go, internal/manifest/migrations/0001_init.sql, internal/inbox/inbox.go, internal/inbox/archive.go and internal/git/git.go. Prepare returns all parsed entries; finalize reads the live inbox again. The row contains no prepared-entry snapshot or semantic receipt. Archive, clear, scan, optional Git and row completion have the reported order. Abort changes lifecycle state without restoring files. The nonunique status index does not establish race-free admission. These support wired mechanical effects, not semantic completeness or exercised recovery. The workflow account preserves the separate mechanical and later-answer delivery boundaries.
  • Retained payloads and access state. MEM-OBJ-raw, MEM-OBJ-wiki-pages, MEM-OBJ-log, MEM-OBJ-tasks, MEM-OBJ-index and MEM-OBJ-manifest-projections distinguish source content, requested semantic edits, operation summaries, live task markers, preserved descriptions and executable metadata. SRC-1, internal/core/scan.go, internal/core/tasks.go, internal/core/index.go, internal/manifest/manifest.go, internal/manifest/frontmatter.go, internal/manifest/wikilinks.go, internal/contract/contract.md and the archive code support those distinctions. Task identity matching does not verify completed work. Index description preservation does not reassess its truth. The corresponding epistemic raw, wiki and task objects remain consistent with these findings after reconciliation.
  • All seven collection outputs and transformations. I checked MEM-OBJ-collections, MEM-RTE-collection-regeneration, all seven epistemic collection-object records and all seven epistemic extraction-route records against SRC-1, internal/collections/collections.go, internal/collections/header.go, internal/collections/quotes.go, internal/collections/bookmarks.go, internal/collections/books.go, internal/collections/reading_list.go, internal/collections/media.go, internal/collections/ideas.go, internal/collections/projects.go and cmd/sparks/collections.go. The per-output selectors, omissions, persistence controls and later availability are supported. Quotes' field reshaping and Ideas' selected-field grouping do not warrant whole-source equivalence. Bookmarks and Media correctly retain semantic uncertainty. Books' punctuation heuristic can turn a location into an alleged book/source; Projects' maturity mapping can classify a reviewed but unshipped project as Shipped. The non-entailment arguments in EPI-RTE-books-extract and EPI-RTE-projects-extract support the deterministic ampliative classifications without claiming that those hypothetical examples were executed. Literal book hints remain a different branch. Generated stable metadata is not evidence of review.
  • Checks and maintenance advice. RT-RTE-maintenance-write, RT-CLM-mechanical-integrity, MEM-RTE-affected-selection, EPI-RTE-affected-select and EPI-RTE-health-check match SRC-1, internal/core/affected.go, internal/manifest/queries.go, internal/lint/lint.go, internal/frontmatter/frontmatter.go, cmd/sparks/lint.go and cmd/sparks/fmt.go. Health checks have the reported mechanical targets. Lint JSON does not add the text-mode issue-count failure; fmt reports rather than repairs. Finalize does not consume a clean lint report or inspect Scan's per-file error list. Books' quote dependency is not covered by its default affected branch. No automatic regeneration or semantic acceptance follows from advice or diagnostics.
  • Later consumption. RT-RTE-vault-consume and its specialist annotations agree with SRC-1, internal/manifest/queries.go, internal/core/brief.go, internal/mcp/serve.go, internal/view/server.go and the contract. Query delivers metadata, not bodies; Thin is not applied by Query. Brief forwards selected log text and task previews, with metadata for raw and updated wiki files. The five-task cap is not a global context budget. Viewer body reads and manifest navigation are distinct inputs. Actual model context inclusion and changed answers are not established.
  • Epistemic and product-change claims. EPI-RTE-semantic-revision, EPI-CLM-revision-sources and EPI-CLM-stable-maturity accurately separate delivered policy, requested criticism and maturity conventions from substantive acceptance. Their doctrine-only semantic status does not conflict with implemented instruction delivery. RT-RTE-product-build is supported by SRC-1, Makefile, .github/workflows/ci.yml and the embedding code: authored development checks are not observed passing results, mandatory merge policy or deployment evidence. The reports keep learning, theory-builder conditions, reflection, autonomy and self-improvement separate; they do not infer their absence from missing execution evidence.

Relations and reconciliation

I checked every Part of: relation: collection dispatch, individual extraction and health checks are material parts of the broad maintenance route; semantic revision is the protocol-directed part of ingest; the contradiction-source obligation is part of the invariants claim. Containment does not transfer the container's status to its part.

The three amendments in reconciliation correctly connect duplicate raw-capture objects, live Tasks objects and affected-advice routes. Their differing read-back descriptions concern retained selector inputs versus nonretention of returned advice, not opposite storage findings. The retained wiki and collection containers overlap valid smaller units without requiring split supersession. Workflow declares no competing records. The integration-issue dispositions preserve the supplied qualifications rather than silently choosing stronger statuses.

I resolved the marked missing-frontmatter conflict against implementation. SRC-1, internal/core/scan.go deletes frontmatter on parse failure; internal/manifest/wikilinks.go requires a frontmatter row in ListPages; internal/manifest/queries.go starts Query from ListPages. Memory's exclusion finding is supported. The runtime's contrary-looking sentence is an explicitly attributed source comment, used to establish scan tolerance, not an asserted implementation guarantee of query visibility. Its surrounding text promises neither path lookup nor query inclusion. I therefore dismiss this as a blocker, not as an unsettled factual dispute. Readers must not adopt the comment's path-query rationale as implemented behavior. Reconciliation already preserves that warning and both positions.

The graph issue is also supported: deletion marks file rows, while graph replacement visits current listed pages and clears edges only for each visited source. IncomingLinks does not exclude deleted sources. Memory's retained passage and MEM-OBJ-manifest-projections qualify the runtime's general graph-rebuild wording. No report claims complete deletion propagation, so no correction is required.

Consequential omission searches and stopping decision

The frozen tree and shipped producer/consumer dependencies guided three additional questions, rather than only the listed anchors:

  1. Could another shipped adapter impose semantic approval, automatic agent execution or different mutation controls? I inspected SRC-1, cmd/sparks/main.go, the complete MCP registry and handlers, the init caller and collection caller. They support deterministic dispatch and the stated adapter differences, not a hidden semantic-review step. Shipped callers were treated as part of Sparks, not excluded merely for calling a library.
  2. Could retrieval or withdrawal downstream of the recorded producer reverse the conclusions? I traced scan through manifest queries, Brief and viewer consumption, additionally reading SRC-1, internal/view/sidecar.go and relevant internal/view/render.go paths. This preserves the distinction between direct bodies, metadata and stale graph state. It does not turn retrieval into acceptance or establish a security audit. The reported withdrawal qualification survives the actual backlink consumer.
  3. Could extractor support code or maintenance dependencies restore complete incremental coverage? I read SRC-1, internal/collections/glob.go and traced every registered extractor against affected selection and its timestamp query. The existing incompleteness qualifications remain supported; the reports make no exhaustive dependency or arbitrary-glob correctness guarantee. Separate scan/commit calls cannot be silently supplied after collection regeneration.

Further optional expansion stopped because these selected challenges have dispositions and no identified material challenge remains unresolved. Additional tests, templates, release machinery and external harness internals are not needed to preserve the stated source-level conclusions. This is not exhaustive repository correctness, security, model-compliance or production-reliability verification. The local object-inventory omission below does not change the emitted route findings or justify a system-complete negative.

Limits

  • The epistemic-object inventory does not separately list the operation log and manifest graph/access-state units recorded in MEM-OBJ-log and MEM-OBJ-manifest-projections, although its consumption ledger and the combined reports describe their roles. SRC-1, internal/core/brief.go, internal/manifest/wikilinks.go and internal/core/scan.go support those distinct retained inputs and consumers. Withhold an exhaustive object-by-object epistemic inventory comparison from that table alone. The positive storage, selection and consumption findings remain supported; this omission does not establish absent epistemic behavior or invalidate the bounded acceptance conclusions.
