Reconciliation

Shared boundary and evidence

The four reports retain the boundary's partial-loop scope and Source register. Added specialist inspection does not change the registered repository or revision. Runtime's uninspected consolidation, page maintenance, ranking and evaluation surfaces are subsequently inspected in part by the specialists; this is additional coverage, not a contradiction or a whole-system upgrade. All implementation findings remain distinct from observed operation and causal benefit. No correction answers or declined objections were supplied to this attempt. This reconciliation uses the pinned members only; no source files were read.

Duplicate routes

Amendment: EPI-RTE-observation-batch is superseded by MEM-RTE-observation-consolidation. Both identify the same consolidation batch: pending facts and pooled recalled observations enter configured model proposal, action preparation, batch commit/abort and later observation consumption. Their shared SRC-1 evidence in hindsight-api-slim/hindsight_api/engine/consolidation/consolidator.py includes the same out-of-recall delete refusal and commit/abort passages. The affected epistemic ledger's transformation, checking, disposition and retention entries concern this one route, not four additional implementations. The epistemic record retains its prompt rationale, source-change checks and indeterminate semantic-relation assessment; supersession identifies the referent and does not replace those findings with the memory record's wording. Both records separately report implementation as wired and operation as uninspected. Neither route supersedes RT-RTE-retain-work, which includes ingress, extraction and storage and only schedules this maintenance subloop.

Amendment: EPI-RTE-page-evaluation is superseded by MEM-RTE-page-evaluation. Both identify the knowledge-page convergence test's final-page grading, criterion/trap verdicts, recording and assertions. Identity evidence is SRC-1, hindsight-system-evals/evals/test_01_knowledge_page_convergence.py and hindsight-system-evals/hindsight_system_evals/judge.py: each record traces the same criterion-based grading and asymmetric confirmations; memory also retains the JSON report writer. The affected epistemic checking and acceptance ledger entries describe functions of this test route, not a separate production acceptance mechanism. Its criterion-relative benchmark license and memory's report-retention finding both remain in their declaring records. Wired implementation does not become observed acceptance, regression prevention or a causal improvement result.

Containers, parts and distinct mechanisms

The following overlaps do not support additional supersessions:

  • EPI-OBJ-memory-units groups fact text with classification and source associations. MEM-OBJ-fact-text isolates the prose; MEM-OBJ-memory-lineage separately covers symbolic provenance/access fields. SRC-1, hindsight-api-slim/hindsight_api/engine/retain/orchestrator.py and hindsight-api-slim/hindsight_api/engine/retain/fact_extraction.py tie them to the same produced facts. These are a valid container and operative parts, not interchangeable whole records. The parts do not make the container's findings wrong, so no split supersession is warranted. MEM-OBJ-document-text is optional source storage, not those derived assertions; RT-OBJ-context-history is current-request working state, not either durable object.
  • EPI-OBJ-observations combines observation prose and source/temporal bookkeeping. MEM-OBJ-observation-text and MEM-OBJ-memory-lineage distinguish those parts. The records' SRC-1 consolidation evidence agrees that source IDs and proof_count convey derivation/counts, not independent truth verification. The valid combined record remains; no replacement by text alone or split supersession is warranted.
  • EPI-OBJ-mental-models includes standing content and refresh/structured controls. MEM-OBJ-mental-model, MEM-OBJ-refresh-specification, MEM-OBJ-structured-content and MEM-OBJ-refresh-response distinguish content, update controls and audit/grounding products in SRC-1, hindsight-api-slim/hindsight_api/engine/memory_engine.py. No container finding becomes wrong merely through this separation; retain it without a split supersession. MEM-OBJ-knowledge-pages identifies tree nodes referencing backing documents, and MEM-OBJ-page-embedding identifies their search representation. Neither is identical to standing prose.
  • EPI-OBJ-directives includes directive text and selection metadata; MEM-OBJ-directive-content isolates text. The SRC-1 directive insert and prompt evidence supports a valid container/part distinction, not supersession. RT-OBJ-bank-config instead holds operational overrides. Sharing a bank or JSON-like fields does not establish identity.
  • MEM-CMP-refresh-llm can resolve to RT-CMP-reflect-llm without a refresh override. The memory record's SRC-1 configuration passage also permits a separately selected refresh provider/model. This conditional alias does not establish unconditional component identity, so supersession is ruled out on the supplied evidence. The distinct retention, consolidation, embedding, reranker and evaluation-judge roles likewise are not made identical by the possibility of shared serving weights. MEM-CMP-evaluation-judge supplies the judge role described within the duplicate evaluation route; a component is not that route.
  • EPI-RTE-page-refresh isolates refresh disposition/persistence within MEM-RTE-page-maintenance, whose scope also includes creation, tree-node admission, candidate generation and retraction grounding. Their SRC-1 preserve-on-failure evidence agrees, but the narrower route cannot replace the broader maintenance referent. Neither replaces answer-only RT-RTE-reflect-request. MEM-RTE-page-delivery is its retained-page search/read subroute, not another whole reflection request.
  • EPI-RTE-directive-write traces creation; MEM-RTE-directive-admission also traces update and later prompt delivery. Their matching SRC-1 write-scope passage establishes an overlapping creation branch, not equivalent complete routes. RT-RTE-config-update admits different objects under different validation rules. No supersession follows.
  • EPI-RTE-source-withdrawal isolates PostgreSQL dependency cleanup used during outgoing-source deletion/replacement. MEM-RTE-memory-curation includes editing, archive/restore, representation rebuilding and post-commit refresh scheduling. Their common SRC-1 stale-observation sweep is an overlapping mechanism, not identical complete endpoints. MEM-OBJ-curation-archive is restoration state, not live observation content.
  • EPI-RTE-defense-screen is an explicit pre-extraction part of RT-RTE-retain-work. MEM-CLM-retain-admission makes a claim about multiple ingress controls, including that screen; different claim/route referents cannot supersede each other. EPI-RTE-optional-dimensions is another retain part, a literal prompt/schema rewrite rather than a screen or retained learned instruction.

Integration dispositions and independent convergence

The memory integration issues do not assert a supported contradiction of runtime. Their configured-store qualification is retained in the annotation on RT-RTE-retain-work: the SRC-1 hindsight-api-slim/hindsight_api/engine/memories/__init__.py passage permits memory rows outside PostgreSQL. Runtime already limits alternative storage inspection. Its database-backed queued operation state is not thereby equated with every memory object's substrate. The unknown deployed store and its commit/read contracts remain limitations, not a disagreement to settle.

Budget wording needs equally local interpretation. Runtime names tool token ceilings among exposed controls, while MEM-RTE-recall-selection and MEM-RTE-page-delivery retain executable first-item floors and separately budgeted fact, chunk and source projections. WF-CLM-completion-checks adds that document-length rewrite failure can preserve the over-budget original. Their SRC-1 selector and rewrite passages prevent treating requested limits as universal hard whole-payload bounds. Runtime declares no such whole-payload invariant; these countercases qualify a possible inference from its shorthand rather than contradict a declared guarantee.

WF-CLM-completion-checks establishes document-shape rejection, bounded correction, length rewriting and ID filtering on the supplied reflection routes. It is not a duplicate declaration of RT-RTE-reflect-request or RT-RTE-context-synthesis. Its SRC-1 passages distinguish ordinary completion failure from preservation after rewrite failure. That distinction coexists with EPI-RTE-page-refresh's preserve-on-failure policy for a persistent document; different consumers and effect boundaries prevent merging those gates into one acceptance procedure.

Runtime, memory and workflow independently retain the same working-context boundary through their annotations on RT-OBJ-context-history and RT-RTE-context-synthesis: blanking visible tool bodies leaves current-request backing history, while map/reduce sends generated prose into reduction. No report establishes that this history is automatically reloaded as durable cross-request memory or that compression is lossless. Persistent page delivery is a different storage/read route.

Authority paths remain consumer-specific. RT-BAP-hook-context delivers selected memories to external Claude Code; MEM-BAP-reflect-content delivers retained content to Hindsight's own reflection model. RT-BAP-config-consumer supplies symbolic settings, whereas MEM-BAP-directive-prompt supplies interpreted imperative prose. Sharing natural-language material or a later model invocation does not make these records identical. The hook annotations and epistemic bounded conclusion agree that standing delivery does not establish activation, improved capacity or exercised self-improvement.

MEM-CLM-source-hierarchy and EPI-CLM-memory-beliefs address different source claims: retrieval hierarchy/quality language versus public evidence-backed-belief, settled-knowledge and learning claims. They converge on the limit that source links, freshness and persistence do not certify truth. Neither supersedes the other or RT-CLM-tenant-check, an unrelated authentication contract. Prompt text predicting rejection is not a witnessed universal semantic checker; the memory report also does not assert that no such checker exists elsewhere. Workflow's actual structural checks therefore do not contradict it.

Withdrawal records agree on consequential local cleanup while retaining the limits of best-effort refresh nudges, manually owned pages, pending-work deferral and already delivered contexts. Evaluation records agree on criterion-relative test pass/fail and retained reporting without a demonstrated production feedback loop. MEM-RTE-filesystem-mirror adds one-way server-to-disk materialization, not a demonstrated later model reader or write-back editor. RT-RTE-provider-round and RT-RTE-extension-load remain distinct provider adaptation and executable startup admission routes, not memory revisions or independent autonomous task delegation.

No unresolved cross-report disagreement is established by the supplied findings. No required missing part is identified that prevents retaining these valid containers alongside the declared operative parts. Remaining unknown deployed identities, uninspected shipped alternatives, semantic fidelity, timely withdrawal and execution/causal evidence retain their reports' local limits; they do not become absences or defects merely through reconciliation. This statement does not verify record support or settle a future verifier's objections.
