Reconciliation

Duplicate identity and distinct parts

Amendment: EPI-OBJ-note-content is superseded by MEM-OBJ-vault-notes. Both identify the retained filesystem Markdown changed by create/update/append and later read from the vault. Both distinguish natural-language content from symbolic frontmatter consumers, leave actual proposition provenance unknown, and distinguish the files from the assembled prompt. Identity evidence is their SRC-1 account of mcp-server/tool-service.js and mcp-server/vault.js, including the createVaultNote passage in the epistemic record and parsed content passage in the memory record. Different labels and analyst perspectives do not give these retained files different referents. This amendment connects the epistemic inventory and ledger's retained-note object to the memory account's write/read object; it changes neither record's findings nor grants semantic approval to stored content. Both IDs remain declared.

EPI-OBJ-read-result and EPI-OBJ-search-result are not duplicate identities of those retained files or each other. They are transient parsed or excerpted delivery products, with different transformations and visibility. Their SRC-1 passages in mcp-server/vault.js distinguish body parsing/trim from substring excerpting. Nor are they duplicates of RT-OBJ-stream-request, the dispatch configuration, or MEM-OBJ-workspace-sessions, the retained conversation container.

EPI-RTE-note-read and EPI-RTE-note-search cover different operation parts of MEM-RTE-mcp-read, not its complete referent. The memory route also covers orientation, recent-note selection, vault listing and guidance delivery. SRC-1 mcp-server/vault.js, mcp-server/tool-service.js and mcp-server/agent-instructions.js support these operation boundaries in the cited records. The epistemic records separately expose parsing/fallback and snippet generation; the memory container remains valid. No whole-record identity or split supersession is warranted, and neither epistemic route supersedes the other.

MEM-RTE-transcript-replay and MEM-RTE-reference-context explicitly declare themselves parts of RT-RTE-workspace-send. Persistence/reload and current-reference selection are different mechanisms, not duplicate invocations. EPI-RTE-mtime-check likewise declares a check part of RT-RTE-mcp-write. Its stat/equality continuation or exception is distinct from the subsequent physical replacement. None of these valid containers requires supersession by its parts.

MEM-BAP-retained-context and RT-BAP-prompt-policy share an interpretive delivery channel but not identity. The former concerns mutable retained history, note text and guidance; the latter concerns the assembled prompt's policy instructions. Returning root AGENTS through MCP can carry instruction-bearing retained content without becoming the static prompt assembly. RT-BAP-tool-executor is a separate executable file-effect path, not a stronger status for either interpretive path.

Convergence and integration dispositions

Transcript inspection extends the runtime account. The runtime leaves native durable storage uninspected in RT-RTE-workspace-send. MEM-OBJ-workspace-sessions and MEM-RTE-transcript-replay add direct SRC-1 inspection of src-tauri/src/settings.rs, including JSON serialization and whole-file write, and frontend load/cache predicates. This is additional support for implemented retention, not a disagreement with the earlier inspection limit. Neither account establishes crash durability, completed shutdown writes or observed restart success. The epistemic history-selection assessment and workflow handover limit remain compatible with that distinction; they do not depend on storage being absent.

Context controls coexist. Runtime and memory agree that RT-RTE-workspace-send selects a completed user/assistant suffix without replaying stored reasoning or tool actions. The memory annotation supplies the same 100,000-token character estimate, while MEM-RTE-reference-context and memory read-back add separate head/tail omission for references and active-note snapshots. Epistemic authority ledger treats selection as implemented context control without added warrant; workflow assignment describes the resulting bounded handoff. No account establishes a combined request budget, automatic replay of omitted turns, or complete active-panel wiring. These are separate limits, not competing accounts of one selector.

Guidance has alternative consumers. RT-RTE-guidance-sync describes code-selected refresh of root guidance and a prompt request that later agents read it. The memory annotation and MEM-RTE-mcp-read additionally establish direct return of root and possible legacy guidance by MCP. The epistemic ledger describes refresh as policy adaptation rather than evidence-responsive acceptance. These mechanisms connect through retained files without making refresh identical to consumption. Divergence between root and legacy guidance, consumer precedence and actual compliance remain unresolved; no report supplies a conflicting precedence finding.

Write admission and epistemic acceptance are kept separate. RT-RTE-provider-create and RT-RTE-mcp-write describe different local executors and admission predicates. The memory write-side account preserves that separation; the epistemic ledger further distinguishes candidate generation, operational admission and retention. Its multiple functions on a cited route are not new route identities or supersessions. Model-edge content relations remain indeterminate without candidate instances. Path checks, exclusive creation and successful I/O do not acquire a stronger epistemic license through agreement among reports.

The optional conflict check connects read, rejection and retry. EPI-RTE-mtime-check, the memory annotation on RT-RTE-mcp-write, and the workflow account agree on the SRC-1 mcp-server/vault.js predicate: omitted expectedMtime skips the gate; equality permits continuation; mismatch prevents current replacement. Workflow adds the registered tool description connecting get_note's mtime to optional update input, error delivery to the caller, and caller-owned retry. That supports an available branch, not mandatory read–edit–verify sequencing or observed agent recovery. All accounts retain the check/write race and distinguish staleness detection from content correctness.

Delivery and withdrawal have local horizons. Workflow annotations on RT-RTE-workspace-send and RT-RTE-mcp-write distinguish file replacement, UI action emission and conversation finalization. A completed response can contain a failed tool action; it is not independent outcome verification. MEM-RTE-note-withdrawal is permanent native deletion, not MCP replacement or a duplicate of temporary-file cleanup. Its removal of a path does not revoke copied references or transcript text. Index reconciliation, deployed UI delivery and complete recovery remain limits rather than established contradictions.

Additional epistemic surfaces are distinct, not runtime corrections. EPI-RTE-vault-register widens root availability and can import a tree; it is not a note write under an already active root. EPI-RTE-organized-toggle and EPI-OBJ-organized-flag concern UI workflow state and next-note selection, not conversation dispatch or truth acceptance. Their addition does not contradict the runtime's selected-route account or establish exhaustive coverage. EPI-CLM-types-lenses concerns navigation conventions, not the provider-capability claim RT-CLM-direct-chat; these claims have no shared identity.

The direct-model mismatch is with doctrine, not between analysts. Runtime, memory, epistemic and workflow limits consistently allow the conditional executable create-note path in RT-RTE-provider-create, despite the universal no-write-tools wording retained in RT-CLM-direct-chat. They do not infer shell access or all-provider write support. The source claim and executable route are different record kinds and referents; neither supersedes the other.

Disagreements and limits

No unresolved disagreement between the supplied reports was identified. No correction answers or declined objections were supplied to this attempt. The memory integration issues above are disposed as additional inspection, distinct mechanisms, explicit containment or retained uncertainty; none requires selecting one analyst's status over another's.

All connections remain within the boundary's partial loop. Untraced collaboration, editor approval, watcher/cache/Git reconciliation, remaining evaluators and external runtime behavior prevent whole-system completeness, universal safety and semantic-acceptance negatives. The reports' wired implementation findings coexist with uninspected operation; convergence does not create an observed-run or causal evidence layer. No additional source reads were made for this reconciliation.
