Reconciliation

Boundary and record identities

All four reports use the frozen revision in boundary and its Source register. They distinguish implementation and doctrine/design from unsupplied operation and causal evidence. Added inspection extends coverage inside SRC-1; it does not supply an observed run. This reconciliation uses the supplied members only and makes no additional source reads.

Amendment: EPI-OBJ-semantic-overlay is superseded by MEM-OBJ-semantic-overlay. Both denote the additive unit files under semantic_overlay/, with natural-language labels, annotations, relations and uncertainty alongside symbolic IDs and fingerprints. Both identify SRC-1 src/docmason/semantic_overlays.py, the staged/published substrate and the same parent RT-RTE-hybrid-refresh. The memory record adds coverage-versus-reader qualifications without changing the referent. Affected epistemic inventory, authoring, validation and freshness findings concern that same overlay; the supersession changes no finding or status and does not establish universal stale-content exclusion. Both IDs remain declared.

Other apparent duplicates are overlapping scopes or distinct parts, not identities requiring supersession:

  • EPI-OBJ-knowledge denotes source knowledge.json semantics. MEM-OBJ-knowledge-text covers bilingual source and interaction semantics in both knowledge.json and summary.md. Their source-semantic scope converges, but the latter includes additional products and interaction lineage. Neither replaces the other's whole referent. EPI-RTE-conservative-output is a producer within RT-RTE-sync-publish, not the semantic object or the whole publication route.
  • EPI-OBJ-interaction-entry combines interaction text and trust/usage metadata in entries and projected artifacts. MEM-OBJ-interaction-entry traces text, bounded excerpts, attachments and promoted evidence; MEM-OBJ-interaction-policy isolates the fixed-rule selection metadata. The epistemic record remains a valid mixed container; no finding becomes wrong merely because the memory lens separates consumers. It is not wholly identical to either memory part, and no split supersession is warranted.
  • MEM-OBJ-source-evidence, MEM-OBJ-reader-index and RT-OBJ-publish-pointer respectively denote retained evidence, selection/provenance inputs and current-root control. They are not duplicate objects. EPI-OBJ-answer denotes the separate natural-language answer file linked by the answer_file_path in RT-OBJ-canonical-turn. The corrected epistemic record explicitly rules out containment in that symbolic control binding. Its SRC-1 src/docmason/host_integration.py passage resolves the stored path and writes exact answer text to the separate file; its skills/canonical/grounded-answer/SKILL.md passage places that file under runtime/answers/. These establish linkage, not part identity or supersession. Answer propositions and their user/host interpretation therefore remain distinct from control fields and their fixed Python consumers. MEM-OBJ-native-ledger denotes capture state that can exist without canonical ownership.
  • MEM-RTE-native-capture covers reconciliation, entry persistence, suppression and pending refresh. EPI-RTE-pending-overlay isolates the projection write, while RT-RTE-host-hooks supplies optional event/advisory plumbing. Their intersections do not make their endpoints and responsibilities identical.
  • MEM-RTE-interaction-promotion includes grouping, rebuilding, preservation, maintenance and promotion inside sync. EPI-RTE-orphan-cleanup isolates missing-lineage deletion. The latter is not the whole promotion route. The valid sync container remains alongside these parts.
  • EPI-RTE-knowledge-check, EPI-RTE-overlay-coverage, EPI-RTE-memory-selection and EPI-RTE-trace-check separate validation, coverage, ranking and diagnostic checks within supplied runtime containers. They are not duplicate declarations of publication, refresh or reader delivery.
  • MEM-RTE-review-projection produces review and candidate inputs, including MEM-OBJ-benchmark-candidates. RT-RTE-operator-eval admits selected regression cases and consumes suites/baselines. Candidate production, retained candidates and evaluator admission are distinct referents.
  • EPI-CLM-source-trust records the README's traceability and hallucination-prevention claim. RT-CLM-commit-gate records canonical legality. Different claimed guarantees rule out identity even though both involve answer support.

The workflow declares no new records. Its annotation and the memory annotations extend runtime-owned records without replacing their generic identities.

Cross-report connections and convergence

RT-RTE-canonical-ask supplies the request-to-closure container. The workflow account selects its corpus-question branch and distinguishes host drafting, trace diagnostics, automatic missing-trace recovery and host-owned semantic repair. EPI-RTE-trace-check explains the diagnostic evaluator's lexical domain. RT-CLM-commit-gate supplies consequential commit admission. These reports independently preserve the distinction between checked canonical legality and proposition-level truth; neither direct evidence commands nor arbitrary host replies become universally mediated by the gate.

The workflow's one-rewrite/retrace limit is an authored host obligation, not a claimed hard wrapper retry counter. Its automatic missing-trace completion retry is a separate mechanism. This distinction agrees with the runtime's protocol scope and does not contradict the epistemic report's bounded support assessment.

RT-RTE-hybrid-refresh has wired work-packet and settlement edges, claimed host authoring and uninspected operation. The epistemic ledger assigns doctrine-only architectural status specifically to requested host semantic production and explicitly excludes the implemented container from that status. The status difference is scoped to different functions, not an unresolved disagreement. EPI-RTE-overlay-coverage and the memory overlay record agree that fingerprint matching grants coverage credit, not verified interpretation or universal reader quarantine.

MEM-RTE-native-capture, EPI-RTE-pending-overlay and EPI-RTE-memory-selection connect capture to conditional later evidence use before publication. MEM-RTE-interaction-promotion connects eligible entries to published evidence afterward. These are compatible with RT-RTE-evidence-tools, which already permits a conditional pending merge. Publication is therefore not the sole admission for every interaction read, and promotion does not establish factual acceptance.

MEM-RTE-review-projection and RT-RTE-operator-eval connect traces to candidates, explicit case promotion and later replay. The epistemic account separately bounds replay judgments to authored expectations and supplied rubric inputs. None asserts that this chain exercised autonomous production revision, improved capacity or causally improved answers. RT-RTE-adapter-sync, RT-RTE-core-update and RT-BAP-canonical-skills describe other instruction/code delivery and replacement channels, not score-triggered self-revision.

Integration-issue dispositions

The memory integration issues replace no supplied fact. Their freshness issue remains a limit shared with the runtime refresh record and epistemic coverage record: coverage rejects stale credit, while preservation and generic loading leave all-reader stale-text exclusion unresolved. No supplied report asserts the universal exclusion this uncertainty prevents.

The withdrawal issue connects MEM-RTE-interaction-promotion to EPI-RTE-orphan-cleanup: one surviving entry can preserve a group, and suppression skips promoted entries. The publication pointer record selects a root but promises no immutable tree or universal forget operation. Current-tree maintenance therefore does not conflict with that record.

The label issue connects MEM-OBJ-interaction-policy to epistemic memory selection and the canonical gate. confirmed can be a fallback classification; contextual-only affects inspected ranking thresholds rather than universally forbidding support use. Downstream interpretations remain consumer-specific. No supplied gate finding depends on those labels being corroboration certificates.

Capture completeness, overlay reader freshness, partial withdrawal, cache combinations, projection scheduling and external host context machinery retain their local limits. Different inspected coverage across reports does not establish disagreement or a system-complete negative. The supplied refusal challenged the previous reconciliation's endorsement of answer semantics as part of the canonical control binding. That endorsement is withdrawn: the pinned EPI-OBJ-answer now explicitly describes a separate file linked to RT-OBJ-canonical-turn, with path-resolution and answer-writing evidence. The corrected identity is reconciled above; neither containment nor identity is retained. No analyst correction-answer file or declined objection was supplied. The refusal's cited earlier containment statement is not the current epistemic finding. No cross-report disagreement remains established in the pinned members; the retained uncertainties prevent broader guarantees without requiring selection of one report's status over another's.
