MemoryOS synthesis verification

Verification

The handed synthesis supports publication as a bounded implementation account. I checked its substantive statements against the supplied boundary, runtime, memory, epistemic and workflow records, the reconciliation's three supersessions, and the report and profile verification judgments. No refusal or previous synthesis-verification member was supplied. The synthesis answers file is empty. This judgment adds no source inspection, correction or evidence.

The public text states its revision, cutoff, functional boundary and evidence layers before describing mechanisms. Its whole-system scope does not imply exhaustive inspection, and source wiring is consistently distinguished from observed reuse and demonstrated benefit (boundary, Source register).

The operational progression is supported: caller-selected identities and configuration; fixed retrieval fan-out; two-message context reconstruction; model completion; cleaning; synchronous admission; conditional maintenance; and library return. The text preserves item-count versus token bounds, unranked history/profile inclusion, different user/system message channels, and the limits of identity selection. Its failure account preserves empty-list substitution, provider-error text entering memory, migration's loss window and nontransactional saves. These are supported by RT-RTE-dialogue-response, RT-RTE-memory-admission, RT-RTE-profile-analysis, EPI-RTE-output-cleaning and the workflow account, not presented as observed incidents.

The retained-content account distinguishes original pages, summaries, profile replacement, appended facts and selection/control metadata. It preserves stale session-summary gates, shared theme inputs, one-session forced analysis and processing markers that do not certify successful extraction. Profile and fact citations use the memory declarations retained by reconciliation's supersessions, without strengthening their warrant (MEM-OBJ-mid-term, MEM-OBJ-memory-access, MEM-OBJ-user-profiles, MEM-OBJ-user-knowledge, MEM-OBJ-assistant-knowledge).

The alternate routes remain separate. MCP data delivery does not establish host consumption or answer retention; Playground display is neither profile approval nor a retained update. The negation counterexample is implementation-deduced, not an observed browser event (RT-RTE-mcp-access, RT-RTE-playground-control, EPI-RTE-personality-display). ChromaDB's initial-page backup overwrite, surviving vector dialogue, merge-created backups and distinct persistence horizons are faithfully carried. The public text also carries the settled LFU double-removal finding and its capacity-path consequence; it does not portray that fault as merely uncertain dependency behavior (RT-RTE-chroma-dialogue, MEM-OBJ-chroma-storage). The local underlying-record omission remains the limit below, not a new synthesis blocker.

The assessment leads with supported trace-fed retained-content change rather than denying learning merely because model weights are unchanged. It separately withholds improved future capacity, full theory-builder status, reflection, theory-building autonomy and exercised self-improvement. It does not infer architectural absence from missing runs. The runtime supplies no conditions 1–4 assessment requiring separate reproduction here. The live context channel is acknowledged while objective-bearing update determination and subsequent causal dependence remain unestablished (RT-RTE-profile-analysis, epistemic conclusion).

Evaluation remains a distinct pipeline: imported sample memories and offline lexical scoring are not product-algorithm equivalence, factual acceptance or method-revision feedback. Reported gains remain attributed. The proposed resolving evidence corresponds to these gaps rather than claiming that traces alone prove benefit (RT-RTE-locomo-evaluation, MEM-OBJ-evaluation-memory, MEM-OBJ-loco-results, RT-CLM-dialogue-benefit).

The Limitations preserve the report-verification limit and its citations. Profile verification declares no additional limit, and reconciliation declares no unresolved conflict. Provenance, semantic warrant, external contracts, incomplete inventories and evaluation uncertainty are explicitly bounded. No unsupported emitted comparison, complete-coverage assertion or central misleading conclusion warrants a blocker.

Limits

  • RT-RTE-chroma-dialogue and MEM-OBJ-chroma-storage omit the additional LFU double-removal failure established by report verification in SRC-1 memoryos-chromadb/mid_term.py and memoryos-chromadb/storage_provider.py. Provider deletion removes the aliased session entry before the local second removal, which raises before cleanup and heap rebuilding. The synthesis carries this record-inventory fault in its alternate-route account and Limitations. Readers must withhold clean capacity-eviction completion and uninterrupted admission after capacity is exceeded; capacity/recovery comparisons remain incomplete. Independent vector recall, deterministic initial-backup loss and merge-created backup capability remain supported.
